Revival at Azuza Street

It is the year of 1906, people are hungry for God. There is supernatural moving of God going on in many places of the world. One of them is Azuza Street, Los Angeles, California, United States of America. God uses a preacher of African origin who preaches the Word of God without compromise and God confirms it by wonders and miracles. People of different races and nationalities, different social background come together under one roof to worship the only living and true God. Interdenominational, racial and social barriers are pulled down in Christ. Women are equal with men. Despite criticism of secular sources and of internally backslide churches the work of God grows and spreads. Missionaries go to all parts of the world to preach the Gospel in the power of God. Today, this revival is acknowledged by historians as one of the basic tools of spreading the Christian Pentecostal movement. Movement which involves over 500 million believing Christians in all nations and is still growing. Besides, it touches probably all denominations. It means returning to the original and only form of Christianity as the Lord Jesus Christ and apostles preached it.

Legacy of Ancestors

Cyril and Method, John Hus, Jednota bratrská (Fraternal Unity), John Amos Comenius – these are only some of the names from the history of Czech nation. Many of prominent Czech historical figures who asserted the good and future of Czech nation were Christians. Often they did that at the cost of their own lives. During the execution of 27 Czech lords in 1621 bold confessions of faith were heard.  One of the last words of Krištof Harant, the lord from Bezdružice, were: „God, forgive them! Into your hands, Lord Jesus, I commit my spirit.“

Law and order, freedom and dignity of a human, love of a neighbour and sequent upon it considerateness toward the weak and needy are some of the essential aspects for functioning of every democratic society which Christianity brings.

Christ overcame death and pain

Since the time of birth of Czechoslovakia in 1918 till the beginning of the 2nd World War missionaries from western countries came to us to uphold in former times so much tried faith of our nation. My grandparents were one of the people who experienced their action and decided to commit their whole lives to God. During the 2nd World War my grandfather was deported by Nazis to Germany from where he managed to escape by miracle and though Gestapo arrested him in Prague, after not many days he was evidently by mistake released. Later God held His hand over him even during hard work in mines. He repeatedly heard a gentle voice in his heart which lead him away from a place some time before the place was burried. In the meantime my grandmother took care of my mother and her four siblings. I grew up in Christian environment where I was taught faith in the loving God and love of a neighbour. During the time of communism my father was persecuted for his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Him who helped him to survive cephalomeningitis and later on a serious car accident with brain damage after which he was for whole days in coma. 16 years ago I attended a meeting with an African missionary Festus Nsoha. I was touched by full Bible teaching in the power of the Holy Spirit and then I decided to make the Lord Jesus my personal Lord and Saviour. Joy and peace that came into my life were undiscribable. With deep gratefulness I was also able to receive answers to questions about sense of human life and suffering in the world as the Holy Spirit illuminated my heart. Today I have a great priviledge and responsibility to serve to the afflicted and needy in my prophessional life as well. And my grandfather? He is a part of the cloud of witnesses of faith (Bible, Hebrews 12,1), those who went to our heavenly home before us. My grandparents were glad to come to our Prague meetings from Brno and as my grandfather put it: Since my youth I have not met a preacher who would have such a relationship with the Holy Spirit as pastor Festus Nsoha has. He said this even before he received full, lasting and medically approved healing from cataract through a prayer of the pastor. There are dozens of people in our family who are faithful Christians in different Christian fellowships and they appreciate the work of brother Nsoha in the Czech Republic. My parents, brothers and I are members of Holy Ghost End Time Ministries Int. With great thankfulness to God we can experience the presence, power and help of God in every situation of our lives and be a blessing to the suffering world. And just like then at Azuza Street, today in the Czech Republic God uses a preacher of African origin who preaches the Word of God without compromise and God confirms it by wonders and miracles. People of different races and nationalities, different social background come together under one roof to worship the only living and true God. Interdenominational, racial and social barriers are pulled down in Christ. Women are equal with men. Despite criticism of secular sources and of internally backsliding churches the work of God grows and spreads.
