Daily Medication
Just fasten your seat belt as we take this swift Holy Ghost Flight to Jerusalem. Remember, our meeting place is by the Bethesda pool. I believe you know I am referring to Part 1 of this Divine Healing Series.
John, chapter 5. So here we are again. Could you see the expectation? Look in the eyes of all these sick folks. Surely they are waiting eagerly for the moving of the pool by an angel and then the first person to jump in gets healed.
But wait a moment, where is our friend that had infirmity thirty and eight years, who had been lying here for a long time? O’ don’t you remember, in verse 8 Jesus said to him, ”Rise, take up your bed, and walk”, and in verse 9 we saw him rise up healed and walk away.
Please follow me, let us follow his footsteps and find him. ”Do you want to be healed? Rise, take up thy bed, and walk!” He sent His word and healed them. Amen.
I pray that the mighty Spirit of God will through this teaching reach down and get hold of you where you are – maybe hidden in confusion, doubt or unbelief – and will strengthen you out and set you on the steps of prosperous health.

Now what is this soul prosperity that sustains the health of the healed? Sure the soul – the consciousness, the mind of the saved, delivered or healed person must be seasoned with and in the Word of God. This is soul prosperity that is much needed to sustain, strengthen and perfect the health of the saved soul or healed body. We must learn to feed on the word that saved or healed us. It is not enough just to get a blessing from God; we must learn to prosper in that blessing to His Glory.
Often when people are leaving the hospital after a serious illness, the doctor prescribes special medication to help speed up the recovery. The disease is cured but care is still to be taken for the patient to regain strength. If the patient is careless and does not follow the doctor’s instruction and neglects the daily medication, he stands in the danger of being pulled to the sickness again or having unpleasant or delayed full recovery.
I don’t mind telling you that the word of God is divine medicine, and after you are saved, healed or delivered, you need to remain in that word.
I mean, be careful to take your daily medication of the Word.
My son, pay special attention to my word. Give your ear to hear my word. Keep your eyes on my word and don’t let your eyes turn somewhere else. Keep it in your heart and ponder over it time after time. For my word is life to those that find it and gives health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22)
It is the word that saves. (John 6:68; John 5:24). It is the word that heals and delivers. (Psalm 107:20).
Often people come to evangelization or revival meetings, give their life to Christ or come and receive healing, and then they walk away – even some who are delivered from demon spirits or drugs. I call them go-getters. I often ask people, do you want God or just His gifts?
Listen, you must not confuse yourself, you must humble yourself and pay attention to the word of God, don’t be a foolish forgetful hearer.
People think that to attend a revival meeting for two days and have the preacher lay hands on you, then you have known all about Christianity. That is why many speak against things they don’t understand and plunge themselves into fast judgment.
Listen to this:
I therefore charge you to get rid of all filthiness of your ways and humble yourself and walk by the word of God which has been sown in you which is what saves your soul. But be a participator and a doer of the word and not just hearer and spectator thereby deceiving your own self. For if any be a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man looking at his natural face in a mirror: as he looked and went away, by and by he forgets what kind of man he was on the mirror. But whosoever looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and being not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the word, this person shall be blessed in his deeds. (James 1:21-25)
Does that appeal to you at all, don’t drop the booklet, read on! I told you to follow me. Let us trace the steps of the fellow that Jesus just healed by the pool, how then do you want to go away?
Follow on to where he is, John 5, verse 10: The Jews therefore said unto him that was healed, it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed for it is Sabbath. Do you hear that? They did not rejoice that a man who had been lying miserably for 38 years got healed. Instead, they told him to go back and lie back on the bed of affliction because law does not permit him. Because it is against the law of science. It is not biologically possible, medically it is unattainable, so get back to your old medication, to your sick mindedness and speak your old language of sickness.
They meant to say to him, doubt what you got and believe the opposite. Give it up and lie back to your old sinful godless style of life. When you got saved, how did your husband, wife, friend or parents react? What did they say? Did they rejoice that such a miserable sinner doomed to hell is now saved from eternal destruction?Did they rejoice that you who lived in alcohol and gambling are now free? Think about it. What of when you got healed?
What did your husband say? What about your doctor? Did they speak words to encourage your faith in the word of God? Or did they do their best to talk doubt into you? Just to make you doubt what you got and wait for the reversal?
Each of those Jews represents a demon spirit. So is the person that tries to talk you out of what you got from God. I mean, often people try to ridicule you and – if care is not taken – to make you feel ashamed for mentioning the Name of Jesus, reading the Bible or going to place of Bible instructions.
I want you to know that the devil has one style all the ages. He is a thief and a robber. Be wise and prosper in your health and blessings.
It may not be through a physical person but through a flash thought that just invades your heart to instill doubt, or through symptoms of the healed disease. Then hear and understand, you must learn to stand by the word of God and extinguish all encroachments of hell.
Now look how the fellow responded to their demon appeal.
Verse 11: He answered them, he that made me well said to me, take up thy bed and walk. Praise God for evermore. He did not take up their demon language, no never, he kept repeating the language of the Healer. Amen, Hallelujah. He that healed me said – O’ I rejoice in this.
Is this not the same drama as in the Garden of Eden when that ancient Satan, the thief turned the first man and woman from what God said? Genesis 3:1 Yeah, hath God said? The devil’s target through the ages, no matter tin which form he may come, is primarily to turn people away from what God said.
Pay special attention to the following question:
Verse 12: Who is he that said to you, take thy bed and walk? Do you see the interrogation? This is a really faith killing interrogation. They are gradually diminishing his excitement and joy.
The people he thought will rejoice and thank God are now doing their best to cast a spell of gloom over him. I believe his joy is gradually running down. Now they question the authority of the healer, the integrity of the saving healing word.
They mean to make him think that there may be other ways, even better ways. So, don’t take the healer serious, just forget about the healer and His word, submit to normal sinful life. Use what you got just to boast your sinful self.
Verse 13: He that was healed did not know who healed him.
Do you see that? Because you got healed does not mean that you know the Healer.
Because you came to a crusade and got saved or delivered and healed does not mean that you have arrived at knowing the saving Healer.
That you have that sweet initial experience does not give you the impetus to go the way you choose. Jesus said:
Go into the world and teach all nations ... teaching them to obey all things that I have taught you. (Matthew 28:19-20)
If you continue in my word then are you my disciples indeed and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)
To continue in the word is the soul prosperity that prospers our health both spiritually and physically.
Let us follow him a step further, let us see where he goes, I mean where he spends his time after he got healed. Maybe in the cinema or at the porno shops? Let us see.
Verse 14: Afterward Jesus findeth him in the Temple. Do you see the steps of the healed man? He kept the word of the Healer; he refused to give in to the insinuations of men. Again he followed the steps of the saving Healer and both met in the Temple of God. He followed on to know the Healer and to hear more of the healing word and to live under the environment of positive faith. I don’t mind to tell you that your church affects your health. If you go to a church where faith and healing is criticized, you are in danger. If you get saved and return to your old dead religion, you are just playing a very risky game with your salvation and you are in the danger of forgetting what manner of person you are. Go to a living fellowship that presents positive faith in the word of God. Don’t hang around among negative folks that never pray, that never get filled with the Holy Spirit. With tears I cry out, turn away from such!
Still verse 14: Hear what Jesus said to him when he found him in the temple: Listen you are now well, sin no more or else worse thing may come on you.
That is a blood curdling warning. My God, so being in the temple is not enough, or so following the preacher is not enough. So giving offering and tithe is not enough. Sin no more or else! God help my heart forever!
We are in a time when the message of holiness is the most obscure. People think they can live anyhow they like. They talk of Love of God and Grace of God and never care to know that the God of Love and Grace is the same that said:
Be ye holy for I am holy. Come out from among them and be separate and touch not unclean things; then I will receive you and shall be a Father unto you.
Are you still in tune or out of tune, have you dropped the booklet at that point? Listen, your God loves you and wants you to know that He is Holy and a Lover of Purity. Sure He wants you to draw closer and discover the power of purity. The pleasure of righteousness. Our God is Holy and He requires His Children to be Holy.
It is easy to be Holy. That will make you shout. Sure it is. God cannot tell you to do something, which He has not provided the grace and power for you. He means to say: in my love I have made available for you my Holiness. So be conscious of my holy presence.
That is all. Be conscious of His indwelling presence in you. He is in you. It is Him that works in you to do His will. The life of the Vine flows through the branches.
Finally, verse 15: The man went and told the Jews that it was Jesus that healed him.
There is great power in testimony. It is a wonderful way to deliver your soul from traps of darkness. Speak Jesus to men, be bold to tell everywhere you go that He is your Lord and Savior. Never keep quiet. Testify of His goodness. Tell about your healing to others and give God Glory. I tell people; the more you testify your healing the more it becomes yours. So it is with every other blessing.
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame the devil by the blood the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.
You can now follow the daily medication and prosper marvelously in your blessings. Then you can also help others to be healed and saved and delivered.
Keep to the word. Feed on the word day and night. Confess the word and speak the word to any opposing circumstance. Stand on the eternal word of God and don’t shake, for everything shall pass away but the word will never pass away. Come into discipline and live in the word.
