For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
John 3:17-21 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
How could you be so dry in the midst of such a mighty rain? How can one be so lonely in the midst of so many people? How can you be sinking so deep into darkness in the midst of such a marvelous light. There is great falling away. Sin and evil has learned to operate and harden in the midst of the work of God. How could Lucifer conceive such evil in the very presence of God? How could Judas perish before Christ? He that thinks he stands, let him take heed less he fall.
Pastor Festus
For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things. But our citizenship is in Heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
Philippians 3:18-21 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
The New Testament has fundamental differences from the Old Testament because the Lamb came from Heaven; the High Priest is the Lord from Heaven, the Holy of Holies and the Tabernacle are both in Heaven. The prayer pattern of the New Testament is OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN. Then the bond holders, the covenant partners, are not the Jews but those who have accepted the redeeming sacrifice of Jesus, who are born again not by the will of the flesh or the will of man but by the will of God. And therefore they are citizens of Heaven and of the Kingdom of God.
Pastor Festus
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Matthew 6:5-6 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
If we give, pray and fast, which I call three pillars of spiritual progress, with the right attitude of the heart and soul, we receive tremendous blessings from our heavenly father and that is why the Lord stresses the importance of doing it right. The dilemma of so called modern christianity is that most do not know or have secret, deep and intimate private devotion. They have no private alter of prayers and fasting. So the communion with the father is on when they or if they go to church. Such superficial devotion cannot be able to stand the present pressures in the world. We must rush to rebuild our private alters. The father who is in secret, and sees in secret, will reward us openly.
Pastor Festus
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:5-8 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
James was here writing to the scattered, displaced believers, who were going through terrible persecutions and trials because of their faith. He said that the end result of such trials is patience and endurance. He was stressing that if they allow patience to take deep root through the distressing trial then they will be ready and prepared for any such situations anytime anywhere in the future. Ask for wisdom if you lack the knowledge of the end result of this distress, ask in faith and God will give you the comprehension that the end result of the difficult situation will be positive. Be cleanse of double mindedness, doubt and unbelieve, be sure be steadfast that the end result of these trials will be increased in grace, maturity, wisdom and power.

This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name, your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Matthew 6:9-11 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
To be born again is to be reconnected, reconciled to heaven. From then, the believer's life becomes a heavenly life lived on earth. This becomes possible and it is sustained only as one stays connected and abides in this heavenly VINE. And we can be sure that as we as GOD's children pursue our purpose for living, that is His sacred WILL for our lives, that HE will never disappoint US, but will in every situation grant to us every grace and all we NEED to carry out HIS WILL on earth.
You are greatly beloved, Pastor Festus

Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?” “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?”
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.” “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
John 18:33-37 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Pilate was the governor of the province and sat on the seat of Caesar’s power. So he was the main decider of the fate of Jesus. Before Pilate the Lord did not deny Himself, he kept to the knowledge of Himself even in the face of judgment. His greatest source of strength in the face of judgment and death was his sense of PURPOSE. This is why I was born; this is why I came into the world. So he was willing to pay any price and make the ultimate sacrifice so as to fulfill His calling, destiny and purpose.
Think of these things.
Pastor Festus
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence. He said to them, “This is what I told you while
I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
Luke 24:39-44
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Have you seen, handled, walked with, and eaten with the risen Savior? Have you seen Him in His resurrection glory? Has He made Himself real to you? Then cry out: “He is alive. He is risen!”
The resurrection opens the door for deeper intimacy with Jesus than was possible before the Cross. Fellowshipping with the power and glory of the resurrection should be our daily dynamic. Out of darkness into the light. Death and grave have lost. Satan is stripped and conquered. Humanity has a second chance to live.

...who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
1 Timothy 2:4-6 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
God wishes for all men to be saved. Who gave himself as a ransom... This is the message of Easter, this is the message of the Cross, this is the message of the resurrection of Jesus Christ that the full ransom for emancipation has been paid. The slaves of Southern USA rejoiced to hear the emancipation proclamation passed by Abraham Lincoln. None of those slaves on hearing that proclamation obeyed and served their slave masters one minute longer. They erupted in Jubilation crying: “I am free! I am free! Thank God I am free at last!”
Break free and join and sing this redemption song.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Festus
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Galatians 3:13-14 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Take note, and pay close attention to what this scripture says and notice that it is in the past tense – has redeemed, past tense. When reading the scriptures, and claiming God's promises, it is very important to note, if it is a promised gift or offered gift. Promised gift we held by hope – future, but offered gift we can lay hold now by faith and call it done and put it in the past tense. Imagine asking somebody for something today, that he had already given to you yesterday.
Walk by faith.
Pastor Festus
About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.)
Luke 9 :28-33 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Climb up to the prayer mount and experience transformation. The blessings that come from constant, growing prayer life are unimaginable. The Lord is calling His people to come up higher on the prayer mount and leave the ordinary behind. Gain a prayer perspective, see life's problems from a different angle, gain spiritual insight and let your physical body soak up the healing power of His presence.
By the blood of Jesus you have access.
Pastor Festus
And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 5: 24-34 (KJV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Thy faith has made thee whole. How I wish that every sick person can here this statement from the lips of the Son of God. Steps to her being made whole are (a) she heard of Jesus (b) she believed; from this moment all her actions became an expression of her faith (c) she kept saying (d) she came (e) she touched his clothes (f) she was healed. Praise the Lord. Now is the time to walk in the path to your healing, restoration, and wholeness. When you have heard; then believe, then walk the believer’s walk.

He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
Mark 4: 26-32 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
God's word is medicine to all our flesh. When deeply planted in the soil of a prepared heart, it takes root; brakes open like a tablet, and release its healing power.
When the farmer sows his seed, he goes to sleep, that means he is rest assured that the harvest is coming. Water the seed of heeling and rest in faith, the healing will surely be manifested. For none that put their trust in him will be put to shame.
Be healed in Jesus name. Pastor Festus

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him. When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
“He took up our infirmities
and bore our diseases.”
Matthew 8: 14-17 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Peter's mother-in-law came under the healing light of Christ, then He touched her and she arose healed. Then came the evening, by His word demons were cast out and multitudes were healed, here it might have not been possible to touch all or lay hands on them, for they were many, so He spoke healing words and they were all healed. If you are sick, come under Christ healing light, receive His touch and arise healed. Healing light speaks of illumination or renewal of the mind by the Word so that the mind will not stand in the way of your healing.
Be comforted in Jesus’ name. Pastor Festus

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:4-6 (NIV)
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace.
Ephesians 2:14-15 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
As you read the Scriptures printed above, know that the crucifixion was the most humiliating, painful, and shameful suffering. It was the lowest form of destruction of a person. Christ Jesus travelled that road for every man on Earth that He might offer to every man total redemption, salvation, and healing. Know that what is meant for your destruction and shame, in faith and obedience to God can become a gateway to glory and salvation of many.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Festus

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
2. Corinthians 1:2-7 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Who has not felt, as a believer, the penetrating arrows of fear, doubts, discouragements and anxiety?
We must know that being a believer does not exempt us from these things and even sometimes can become more intense when once you believed because you are no more in the kingdom of darkness.
Crises, temptations, trials and offenses come as our Lord Jesus has warned us but we must know that as these attacks and sufferings are real yet more real, deeper and ever present are consolations in Christ Jesus. Sickness, pains, frustrations are real so also are healings, deliverances and miracles of grace. The soothing, penetrating balm of Gilead can sooth, heal, refresh and preserve you. Open up to the consolations, drink of the rain of God's abundance in the midst of crises.
They are yours now. Pastor Festus

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.
Then Peter said, “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
ACTS 10:44-8 (NIV)
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Peter and the Jewish believers who went with him to the home of the gentile Cornelius were amazed to see and hear the Gentiles filled with the Holy Spirit. Up till that time they did not fully comprehend the universal nature of Christ salvation. To them it was just for the circumcision, for the Jews only. Through and by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, God intends to approve, seal, confirm, establish, and vindicate His work, His people, and His servants and anointed ones. Not just by the gifts and manifestations of his power, but also by the hidden graces of the fruits of the spirit. Doubts, schisms, racial prejudices, carnal spuriosities are refuted, not by lofty arguments, or academic qualifications, but by the pure manifestation of the Spirit and power.

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”
The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
“Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4:7, 9-14 NIV
Welcome to Oasis Church,
As the wells, store houses, fountains and resources of the world diminish and run dry, there is coming great thirst and a quest for a new avenue of provisions, as seven billion angry and hungry humans battle to get a piece of dwindling resources. Our Lord must have had this in mind when He told the Samaritan, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again but there is a well, there is a fountain, there is a provision, a store house prepared by God in Christ, for this hour for you. It will never run dry, it will never disappoint.
It is for the people of God who have learnt to trust Him with their lives and walk in His wisdom and love.
Maranatha, Pastor Festus

Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
Luke 17: 1-6 NIV
Welcome to Oasis Church,
Offenses, temptations, traps, snares, meant to weaken, frustrate, paralyze, discourage. The Lord said that these things will surely come, and then He says these fearful words and judgment about those through whom the offenses come. Many believers think that it is the devil through whom it comes. Remember that Judas Iscariot was not the devil but allowed the devil to use him to betray Jesus. The trap to the soul of the younger believer can come through the older or more so called spiritual believer. We must be warned in these days of trials not to be a stumbling block to others, by words or attitudes. LEARN to bear your burdens patiently. Do not spread your confusion to others and then your deliverance will speed up.
Pastor Festus
Sunday, 15nd January 2012
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
Psalm 27: 1-6 NKV
Welcome to Oasis Church,
God’s pavilion is the secret part of his tabernacle which was hidden from all but the high priest who only entered there once a year. The Holy of Holies was the place of the mercy seat and the light there was the glory of God, the Shekinah. All the secrets of the covenant were hidden in this place and God’s covenant presence was there. This is time to hide in God’s house, receive directions, be set upon a rock, that mean set your feet upon the solid rock of the covenant promises and not on the sinking sand.
You are not alone, Pastor Festus
When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6: 13-20 NIV
Welcome to 2012,
Carefully follow the steps God has taken to lay for us an infallible foundation of faith and sure anchor for our souls. First is the promise of God, but he went further and elevated the promise to an oath, that was the deepest he could go under the old covenant, but in our dispensation, the promise, the oath is taken deeper and sealed in the blood of Jesus by which blood we have access into the very presence of God.
The foundation for strength, victory and power has been laid, the way is open and inviting, and we must seize the chance and maximize the blessed possibilities of the promise, the oath and the blood of Jesus.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Festus
Sunday, 1st January 2012 - New Year
When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?
Luke 2:42-49; NIV
Welcome to 2012,
In the Bible there are several things that were or are in the number 12.
There were 12 tribes of Israel, 12spies sent by Moses to spy Canaan, 12 stones placed in the midst of Jordan, 12 stones raised in Gilgal, 12 apostles of Christ. revelation 21:12 says that the New Jerusalem has twelve gates and at the gates twelve angels are. The Lord was twelve years old and knew where his Father was and wanted to be there and do his Father´s business.
In this new year we must never live on assumption as Mary and Joseph who assumed that the Lord was traveling along with them when he was not.
Be faithful unto the end.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Festus
