Why there are sects
The greatest price, which an individual, a family, a city or even a generation pay, relates to the knowledge of the true God or knowledge of the truth about God. When people deny the knowledge of God there are serious consequences even in their social system. If they are confronted with something beyond the five senses, in their ignorance they either have no answers or provide wrong ones. When children ask questions, what do agnostic, atheistic parents or leaders say? People then may seek for answers from wrong sources anywhere and in their ignorance they may accept that which is wrong, which is the normal human inclination, and murder the true.

a) Ignorance of the Truth
b) Misguided spiritual hunger
c) Self worship - excessive arrogance
d) Ambition of the Satan’s kind to possess supernatural power
e) Ambition to control people and circumstances for one’s own ego
f) Rebellion - sin, the fallen human nature
g) Failure of traditional-historical-religious institutions to manifest truth as it really is
h) Ancient mystical traditions passed on through generations
i) Fear of being hurt by other, quest for security against tragedies
j) Mere curiosity for supernatural experience
k) Greed, excessive passion for wealth, success and materialism drive many to seek help from fallen angels through mediums, charlatans, witches, gurus, fortune tellers, prognosticators, astrology. This is forbidden in the Bible and it is called idolatry
l) Drug addiction, alcoholism, hallucinations, sexual promiscuity, perverted sexuality, experimenting sexual experiences with animals, hard metallic rock music - all these open doors to demon possessions and lead into occult experiences.
