National Bible Reading Day

During the Easter time we had an opportunity by God’s grace to participate in an event called “National Bible Reading Day” here in Zdar nad Sazavou. Started four years ago by occasion of the new Czech Bible translation edition, it opened a way for us to present the Book of Life to the public.
City officials were invited together with passers-by. Many people showed interest in reading. The youngest participant was a six years old girl.
This year we read the Gospel of Mathew and some other selected passages from both the Old and New Testament. Pauses between different passages were filled with Christian songs interpreted by sister Bara. We believe that the Word we read will accomplish what it was sent for – it will SAVE.
People were offered Bibles (both classic books and audio) for discounted prices.
Our thanks belong to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for his grace in organization, technical support and even in providing us good weather. We thank sister Ivana and Bara and the whole body of Christ for prayers because we would not make it without them.
